Having started as a grassroots effort by local community leaders in 1996, the generosity of countless individual donors has played a crucial role in launching our programs and expanding our services.

Your gift to the Third Street Community Center :

• Supports our mission to promote life long learning
• Supports our After School Academic Program which provides underserved children opportunities to discover science and mathematics while inspiring them to dream of a future outside of poverty.
• Supports our Robotics Program which brings cutting edge technology to youth and teaches them to become leaders and innovators.
• Supports our Adult Education Program which helps adults learn vital new skills
• Supports our new health initiative Leading Strong & Healthy Lives which helps older adults remain active and eat healthy
• Leverages foundation and corporate funding to maintain our core programs

Other Ways to Give

The following items are needed year round and are gladly accepted

• Gift certificate to local retailers
• Movie tickets
• Complimentary passes to amusement parks, museums, or other places of interest that are appropriate for children and youth
• New clothing items for children ages 6-14
• New school supplies (i.e. backpacks, pencils, rulers, etc.)
• Teaching supplies such as dry erase markers, notepads, etc.
• Computers (note: computer should be not more than 4 years old)
• Other gifts can be discussed on a case by case basis.

Due to limited space and storage availability, all large quantity donations must be arranged in advance.
